How to Feng Shui your Apartment
Creating feng shui for your home is a great way to encourage wealth and prosperity into the home. However, if you happen to live in an apartment, the extent of control over your feng shui will be less than if you were to live in a house. If an apartment is all you can afford to live in at the time, then I would advise you to choose carefully which apartment building you are moving into. Nevertheless, I have listed 7 key tips to help feng shui your apartment. Try to follow these guidelines as close as possible inorder to benefit from the most out of your feng shui.
Tip 1. Beware that your apartment lift is not directly facing the front door. This serves as a poisonous arrow that will bring about bad luck. It is believed to resemble a tiger coming out to eat you up. Request for an apartment away from the lift.
Tip 2. Creating feng shui for your apartment can become even more difficult if you live in an apartment with little space. Apartments with tiny corridors that lead to the rooms are not ideal for a feng shui apartment. Try to choose an apartment that has a large open space in the center, sort of like a living room where the entire family can unite.
Tip 3. Another reason why feng shui apartments are not ideal is because of the structural beams that support the units. It is bad enough having structural beams ontop of your unit, even if they are properly grounded. However, in an apartment, there are numerous units above you, especially if you are on the first floor. All those beams pushing down on you while you sleep is bad feng shui and should be avoided at all costs.
Tip 4. Although structural beams have a negative effects on your feng shui apartment, it is not a good idea to reside in the penthouse either. You see to enjoy good feng shui, you need to embrace a combination of heaven, earth and energy and a penthouse is simply way to high above the earth to meet that combination.
Tip 5. It is believed that if you are living with water ontop of you, much misfortune will drip down upon you. Hence, apartments that have swimming pools on the roof are dangerous and should be avoided.
Tip 6. Apartment buildings standing on columns or stilts such as those that have an empty space below for cars to park under are bad for feng shui. In fact this represents a lack of foundation. Try to avoid moving into an apartment building that stands on columns with empty space above the ground level and choose one that is built on solid ground with the parking lot away from the building.
Tip 7. One last point to make about how to feng shui your apartment is to make sure to keep the narrow corridors well lit up. If possible make sure to brighten them up with paintings and such. Narrow corridors are bad for feng shui apartments and one should choose an apartment that has more of a central space. If you do not have that option, then make sure the corridors are kept well lit.
Although an apartment is not the most ideal place to feng shui, there are still a number of things that can be done to help increase your luck, wealth and prosperity. Make an effort not to dwell too long in an apartment though otherwise your control for feng shui will always remain on the short end.
